Empowered Women.
More Nurses for our World.
International Center for Applied Nursing (ICAN) is a U.S based nonprofit fundraising organization supporting nursing education in Pakistan. We help create opportunities for women with limited financial means to become skilled nurses, achieve financial independence, and uplift their families.
The Need
Many capable young women cannot afford professional education, while healthcare systems need more qualified nurses. ICAN connects these needs by supporting accessible nursing education creating opportunities for women while developing an additional pool of nurses to serve in Pakistan and worldwide.
Our Journey
ICAN began with a vision to remove financial barriers to nursing education. This vision is taking shape through the development of our first campus in North Nazimabad, Karachi, alongside faculty recruitment, clinical partnerships, and preparations for the required regulatory approvals.
Our planned four-year BS Nursing program combines clinical education with English communication, digital skills, mentoring, and career preparation. Through deferred tuition, students can study without upfront tuition payments and begin contributing after securing employment, helping support future generations of students.
Our U.S.–Pakistan Connection
“International Center for Applied Nursing” in the United States raises charitable funds to support the development of nursing education through “International Colleges of Applied Nursing in Pakistan”.
The U.S. organization connects donors with this mission, while the Pakistan organization develops the educational facilities, faculty, clinical partnerships, and student support needed to deliver it.
How Your Donation Helps
Your donation supports campus development, classrooms and laboratories, teaching resources, clinical training equipment, and access to education without upfront tuition costs. Each contribution helps build the foundation for women to enter nursing and create lasting opportunities for their families.
